Dr. J . Balaji Sundaresan is an eminent interventional cardiologist with bright academic & professional records . Completing M.B.B.S in the year 1996 with best outgoing award and state first rank record , he bagged seven gold medals awarded by The Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University , Chennai . 
Under the able guidance of his teachers , he pursued M.D , in the field of General medicine (1996-1999) at the renowned institute - JIPMER , Pondicherry. He won laurels again with two more gold medals awarded for his academic excellence .
Undaunted efforts led him to continue his career in th field of cardiology , selected for D.M., (2000 - 2002) at Stanley Medical College Hospital , Chennai . Once again two gold medals were awarded towards his bright performance .
Achieving excellence in Interventional Cardiology was his ambition . Hence he spent another one year period of intensive training as "Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology " at Amrita Institute Of Medical Sciences , Cochin .
