Dr. Ramprakash Heart Clinic,(CARDIOLOGY)

Dr. Ramprakash Balasundaram is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at Coimbatore's GKNM Hospital, where he has been working since August 2008. He can also be consulted privately on weekday evenings at Dr. Ramprakash Heart Clinic in Saibaba Colony. Dr. Ramprakash has about a decade of experience. Prior to his current post, he worked as a Consultant Cardiologist for nearly three years at Apollo Idhayam Hospitals in Erode. He served his Internship and Residency at Coimbatore Medical College, JIPMER (Pondicherry) and AIIMS (New Delhi). He also worked as an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at PGIMER Chandigarh for a brief period of three months. Dr. Ramprakash received his MBBS degree in January 1997 at Coimbatore Medical College, which is affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. For his post-graduation studies, he went to the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry and obtained the MD General Medicine postgraduate degree in March 2000. Dr. Ramprakash then studied and trained at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, for the DM Cardiology superspeciality degree, which he received in December 2003. Subsequently, in July 2008, Dr. Ramprakash completed a Fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at CARE Hospital - The Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad.
